National Space Biomedical Research Institute
National Space Biomedical Research Institute was established in 1997 and is a nonprofit academic research consortium that operates under a cooperative agreement with NASA. NSBRI leads a science and technology program to develop countermeasures to the physical and psychological challenges that crews face on long-duration spaceflights. Many of the projects also have applications to short-duration personal spaceflight. Research and technological advances supported by NSBRI impact delivery of medical care and also treatments for similar conditions experienced on Earth, such as osteoporosis, muscle wasting, balance disorders, and other systemic problems.

New Mexico State University offers the state's only bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. Founded in 1988198819881988, the program is now ranked among the top programs in the country. It is home to 400 majors and a diverse student-centered faculty who personally advise students. Work experience and internships open the door for students to enter the work world before graduation. More than $45,000 in scholarships are available annually through the school. All placement services are handled exclusively by the HRTM School. An annual hospitality-specific Career Fair helps students get on track for work and internship experiences.
