International Symposium for Personal and Commercial Spaceflight (ISPCS)
Summer Internships

ISPCS Summer Internships are designed to give students real-world experience working in the new and exciting commercial spaceflight revolution. Students are placed with top players from business and government to learn and participate on the ground floor of what may become the foundational enterprise of the 21st Century!

Details for each opportunity are provided below.

Eligibility: All opportunities are open to graduate and undergraduate students in all majors unless specifically stated in announcement. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 to be considered.

International Students: Students who are not US citizens or permanent residents must include in their application a letter from their university's center for international programs stating the student is eligible for employment. When students accept an internship their university must issue an I-20 to the New Mexico Space Grant Consortium office. (Form I-20 is a Department of Homeland Security document issued by colleges, universities, and vocational schools that provides supporting information for the issuance of a student visa or change in status.)

General Description: All selected interns will be awarded a $6000 stipend for expenses and $500 for travel for a 10 week internship. Internships are for the general summer academic term (specific dates to be determined by student, NM Space Grant, and Industry participant). At the end of the internship, students are expected to write a one page report on their experiences. Internships are supported by the International Symposium for Personal and Commercial Spaceflight.
