This is an exciting time to be alive. Challenge is on my mind. The challenge of creating ISPCS each year is a steep climb. But now with a few years under our belts, I feel it is possible to ask those of you who attend each year to think with me on our future. The symposium provides a wide-angle snapshot of how our industry functions today, relative to the “right now” status of flight safety, ground systems, university research, small satellites, manned launch vehicles and a host of other functions that make up the demanding activities driving the human access to space business programs. Topics and speakers are chosen to give you information in context of the industry as it is at the time of the conference.
2009 was a great year for our business. ISPCS grew 30% in both attendance and sponsorship. Those of you who attend ISPCS know we work to keep clearly focused on growing the next phase of human and commercial space business. While we are an industry meeting, this conference is pro-actively working to grow the market for industry we are covering.
