NASA DEPUTY ASSOCIATE ADMINISTRATOR WAYNE HALE TO LEAD
“LESSONS LEARNED” PANEL AT ISPCS
NASA’s Deputy Associate Administrator for Strategic Partnerships Wayne Hale will lead a session on lessons learned by NASA and other trail-blazers of the personal commercial spaceflight industry at ISPCS 2009, Chairman Patricia Hynes announced this week.
Hale will be joined by Ken Bowersox, Vice President of Astronaut Safety and Mission Assurance with SpaceX, Bryan D. O’Connor, NASA’s Chief, Safety and Mission Assurance , and Brian Duffy, Vice President and Program Manager, Altair - Lunar Lander, Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company.
“Taking a critical look at NASA’s lessons learned will hopefully enable discussions on innovative approaches as human flight safety systems are developed for commercial human spaceflight,” Hynes said.
Held October 21 and 22 in Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA, ISPCS is organized by the New Mexico Space Grant Consortium, a member of the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program, administered by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
