Summary
This program is structured to provide New Mexicans funding to expand space
related research, education, and public service in New Mexico. This award
supports the goals and objectives of the New Mexico Space Grant Consortium
2006 Strategic Plan.
Funding is available from New Mexico Space Grant Consortium (NMSGC) for
faculty and staff from affiliate organizations to receive up to $15,000
for research, education, or public service programs.
• The Research Enhancement Program
is designed to provide seed funding to faculty who are striving to conduct
research that is directly aligned with NASA’s Mission Directorates.
• The Education Enhancement Program
is intended to increase interest and learning, within the education systems,
in the areas of science, engineering, technology, and mathematics, using
the challenges of NASA’s mission directorates.
• The Public Service Enhancement
Program is designed to facilitate the appreciation and knowledge of aero/space-related
issues of the general population of New Mexico.
Eligibility
Competition is open to individuals at NMSGC affiliate institutions.
Submission is limited to one proposal per individual. NMSGC encourages
the participation of any PI who is female, a member of a minority group,
or a person with a disability.
